Récipiendaire d'un prix d'excellence des ECMA, le quatuor à cordes de Saint John présente un concert intitulé ''Une première mondiale'' le vendredi 7 mai 2010 à 19h30 à SJ. United Church (75 rue Alma, Moncton).

Une soirée de premières: Le quatuor à cordes de Saint John introduira un quatuor à cordes par le compositeur belge Flor Alpaerts, une performance sur l'orgue par le directeur du conservatoire belge, Jean-Michel Allepaerts et pour la grande finale, le quatuor à cordes de Saint John uniront leurs talents à ceux de Jacques Dupriez musicien du violon baryton fran‡ais qui jouera la quintette de Brahms Op 115. Monsieur Dupriez jouera sur un violon baryton récemment découvert provenant de l'époque romantique de la musique classique.

The ECMA award winning Saint John String Quartet will present the concert

A World Premier Performance Friday May 7, 2010, 7:30pm at St. John United Church (75 Alma Street, Moncton)

An evening of firsts. The Saint John string quartet will premier a string quartet by Belgium composer, Flor Alpaerts, an organ performance by Belgium organist and director of the Belgium Conservatory, Jean-Michel Allepaerts and for the grand finale the SJSQ will join forces with French barytone violinist, Jacques Dupriez to perform the Brahms Quintet Op 115. Mr. Dupriez will perform on a newly discovered instrument, the barytone violin of the Romantic era, which he has championed.
